The typical experience of sifting through countless images can be an arduous and time-consuming task; however, Nitpic leverages a user-friendly interface that promises to streamline this process effectively, filling a gap that many professional applications have not successfully addressed.

The integration with the Nitpic Desk companion app enhances its functionality, with connectivity options available via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and is conveniently accessible as a free download on the Mac App Store. Upon launching, users are presented with a clean and intuitive layout for managing their photo collections.

Nitpic offers two distinct sorting modes to accommodate varying user preferences:

• Rating mode (ideal for users who utilize the 5 Star rating system):
  • Assign ratings from 1 to 5 stars by tapping, holding, and sliding right or left.
  • Undo the previous rating by tapping and sliding left from the right side of the screen.
  • Utilize pinch gestures for zooming in and out on images.
• Swipe mode (suitable for users who prefer a keeper versus reject sorting method):
  • Sort images into the Keeper folder by swiping right.
  • Sort images into the Reject folder by swiping left.
  • Undo previous sorting actions by tapping and sliding left from the right side of the screen.
  • Pinch gestures are also available for zoom functionality.

Importantly, all sorting actions within Nitpic are non-destructive; no alterations are made to the original images during this process. Once sorting is completed, users can efficiently transfer their selected photos into their preferred photo library while applying relevant ratings.

Nitpic supports a wide range of file formats including RAW (CR2, NEF), TIFF, JPG, PNG, PSD, among others, reflecting its versatility in accommodating various photographic needs.
